Where to eat in the San Paolo neighborhood of Rome

  • Pizzeria Ostiense, Via Ostiense 56 – One of the best pizzerias in Rome. Large venue with some outdoor seating. Very busy, especially on weekends.
  • Hopside, Via Francesco Negri 39 – A gastropub with an in-house microbrewery. Menu includes hamburgers, noodles, wok dishes, chicken wings, meatballs, and plenty of craft beer.
  • Trattoria Pennestri, Via Giovanni da Empoli 5 – Contemporary trattoria that combines tradition and innovation. Dishes are familiar yet reinterpreted with balance. Also offers takeaway.
  • Ramen Bar Akira, Via Ostiense 73F – The place to go for authentic ramen. Delicious, hearty Japanese noodle soup with Chinese origins, made as faithful as possible. A must-try.
  • Sushi & Dumpling, Via Giovanni da Empoli 21 – Japanese restaurant specializing in dumplings, with 11 different kinds on the menu.
